Job Opportunity: Signal Integrity Lead Engineer
We are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Lead Engineer to join our team in Lausanne, Switzerland. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking on challenges and contributing to innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Kandou code technology developers and product teams to provide guidance on signal integrity (SI) solutions and issues.
- Advise Kandou circuit designers on SI solutions for silicon implementations.
- Support high-speed signaling standards analysis (IEEE, OIF, memory) and definitions.
- Engage with Kandou customers and component suppliers to develop and analyze hardware solutions.
- Conduct theoretical and simulation-based signal integrity analysis for Kandou products and hardware solutions.
- Prepare technical analysis reports for internal teams and external clients.
- Evaluate the SI performance of Kandou Chord encoding systems against other systems like PAM4 and PAM8.
- Work with chip and circuit designers on SI, PI, and power solutions for packages and evaluation boards.
- Perform SI/PI/power validation tests and correlate simulations with measurements.
- Create design specifications, simulation reports, and debug reports, as well as validation test plans.
Required Experience and Competencies
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong background in microwave, analog, power, and digital electronics theories.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and eagerness to learn.
- Leadership experience in guiding SI/PI teams and mentoring junior team members.
Skills:
- Understanding of simulation and design principles for signal and power integrity.
- Proficient in scripting/programming languages, including Matlab.
- Familiarity with Linux-based IC design environments, including Cadence Virtuoso.
- Experience with leading SI/PI simulation tools.
