Position: Signal Integrity Lead Engineer

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Kandou code technology developers and product teams to advise on signal integrity (SI) solutions and address issues for code and products.
  • Partner with Kandou circuit designers to provide insights on SI solutions and challenges for silicon implementations.
  • Support Kandou staff in analyzing and defining high-speed signaling standards (IEEE, OIF, memory).
  • Engage with Kandou customers and component suppliers on the development and analysis of hardware solutions.
  • Provide theoretical and simulation-based signal integrity analysis for Kandou products, test structures, and hardware solutions.
  • Prepare technical analysis reports for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Evaluate the SI performance of Kandou Chord encoding systems compared to other systems, including PAM4 and PAM8.
  • Work with Kandou chip and circuit designers on SI/PI/power solutions for packages and evaluation boards.
  • Conduct SI/PI/power validation tests and correlate simulations with measurements.
  • Create design specifications, simulation reports, debug reports, and validation test plans.

Required Competencies – Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong background in microwave, analog, power, and digital electronics theories.
  • Excellent team player with a strong desire to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Experience leading SI/PI teams and mentoring junior members.

Required Competencies – Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of simulation/design principles for signal integrity and power integrity.
  • Proficient in scripting/programming languages, including Matlab.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based IC design environments and experience with Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Experience with current SI/PI simulation tools.
