Job Opportunity: Senior Salesperson - High Yield and Distressed Credit

We are collaborating with a leading European institutional broker to find an experienced Senior Salesperson for their High Yield and Distressed Credit desk. This role centers around originating and executing European High Yield and Distressed credit flow, primarily in collaboration with hedge funds and specialized distressed/special situations funds.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact position for a proactive professional who can utilize strong technical credit skills and genuine client relationships to drive significant new business. You will have access to extensive European research coverage, robust corporate access, and a solid existing continental real-money client base that many London-based competitors have yet to fully engage.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and execute High Yield and Distressed credit trades (bonds and related instruments) across Europe, focusing on UK and global hedge funds and specialized credit funds.
• Provide high-quality technical bond analysis, capital structure insights, and trade ideas, clearly explaining complex situations to portfolio managers and decision-makers.
• Build and grow a dedicated institutional client book through proactive relationship development and new business generation, going beyond merely servicing existing platform flow.
• Collaborate with in-house research and corporate access teams to deliver tailored ideas and early access opportunities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in High Yield, Distressed, or Special Situations credit sales in Europe.
• Strong technical skills in bond analysis, covenants, capital structures, and recovery analysis.
• A proven track record of generating business and establishing real client relationships with hedge funds.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of convincingly explaining complex credit situations to fund managers.
• Demonstrated annual P&L production.
