About the Role

As part of the Research Center in Switzerland, our Future Storage Group is at the forefront of innovation in storage and memory systems, exploring the cutting-edge intersection of these technologies. Our mission is to design the next generation of storage systems tailored to meet the demands of future applications.

We are a research-driven, hands-on team dedicated to advancing the field through impactful research, publishing groundbreaking papers, and fostering collaborations across departments to achieve true hardware-software co-design. Our commitment goes beyond theory; we strive to create solutions that leave a lasting mark on the industry.

We are currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Researcher in DPU and Embedded Systems. In this role, you will research cutting-edge technology, developing next-generation prototypes where computing and storage converge to redefine high-performance, distributed storage and memory systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct original research to conceptualize and design pioneering technologies for compute and storage systems, leveraging advancements such as ultra-low-latency storage and high-speed interconnects.
  • Design and prototype scalable, high-performance architectures for distributed memory, ensuring seamless integration with emerging storage mediums and acceleration technologies.
  • Collaborate strategically with academic partners, drive intellectual property initiatives, and shape our technology roadmap to maintain a competitive edge in high-impact research domains.
  • Publish high-quality research in top-tier conferences and journals, contributing to the broader research community and advancing knowledge in the field.

Qualifications

  • MSc or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields with a strong engineering background in systems and/or storage.
  • Experience with interconnects for AI data centers.
  • Familiarity with Linux storage and memory stack.
  • 5+ years of experience with embedded systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with DPUs.
