Join Our Team as a Senior Quality Management Expert
Global Production & Supply Chain Spouts is a vital part of SIG, overseeing the worldwide production of innovative plastic closures for carton packaging designed for beverages and liquid foods. Our production processes utilize high-performance injection molding machines to produce large series efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of quality and product safety management systems for GP Spouts, including planning, organizing, conducting, documenting, and continuously improving them.
- Conduct internal and external audits (for customers and re-certifications) and follow up on corresponding audit findings.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for processing and managing customer inquiries and for communication with spout producers on quality-related topics.
- Support the maintenance of GFSI recognized standards for spout manufacturers, including plant Neuhausen, while coaching the Product Safety Management Officer at this facility.
- Collaborate with EHS representatives (e.g., ISO 14001:2015) to develop policies, procedures, and methods that enhance the management system.
Required Skills, Experience, & Education
- Academic degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Chemistry.
- Certified Quality Lead Auditor (ISO and/or BRC).
- Extensive experience in the food or food packaging industry, particularly in areas such as:
- Food safety compliance (especially in plastics, paper & cardboard, or paints in consumer goods).
- Analytical methods and quality systems.
- Implementation and supervision of prerequisite programs (e.g., GHP, GMP, GSP).
- Food contact packaging or food production.
- Risk analysis, assessment, and management (HACCP, VACCP, TACCP).
- Strong knowledge of international food safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent command of English, capable of acting as a global partner and communicator.
- Basic knowledge of German, with a willingness to improve (position is based in Switzerland).
