Senior Physician in Palliative Care (m/f/d)

For a hospital located in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, we are seeking to strengthen our team with a Senior Physician in Palliative Care.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Physician in our palliative care unit, you will provide compassionate care for severely ill patients. Depending on your level of training, you will work either independently or receive support from experienced senior physicians. The palliative care unit is integrated within the medical department of the facility. In addition to personalized care for our patients, you will also participate in collaborative reports, training sessions, and may work part-time in the internal medicine ward.

Requirements

• Board certification in General Internal Medicine or another specialization in internal medicine.
• Completion of training in palliative medicine with relevant work experience.
• Openness to pursuing training in Palliative Care; this position is suitable for clinically active specialists with minimal experience in this field, as well as future Palliative Care specialists and aspiring family physicians seeking to obtain the Palliative Care FMH specialization.
• A medical specialty title or several years of experience in internal medicine.
• Strong communication skills and high social competence.
• Proficiency in German, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to engage in close interdisciplinary cooperation and occasional duties in general internal medicine.
