How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior clients in making architectural choices and lead the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions. Your contributions will significantly impact the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes spanning multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH) that require integration. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture and pragmatic, enforceable architecture standards while planning the modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Support clients in building scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms that meet business needs. Your work will involve data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and leveraging AI for smart operations. Make key design decisions and lead engineering teams to develop the solution.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Design and build necessary integrations for business processes and data products. This may include synergies between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms, as well as MDM or CRM systems.
- Strengthen Market Positioning: Enhance our architecture footprint through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Expertise: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and set strategic focuses for building expertise in Switzerland and with near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect, with a proven track record in leading teams that designed and implemented complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Engineering background with at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience in evaluating data architecture decisions, influencing strategic direction, and engaging both business and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to guide data engineers in coding best practices; familiarity with industrial coding quality tools such as SonarQube and AI coding assistants integrated into IDE.
- Experience across diverse database types, including structured (relational), semi-structured (NoSQL), and graph-based models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using solutions such as Terraform.

- Strong oral and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate viewpoints to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Team leadership skills to partner with external resources, estimate, plan work, and coach team members toward optimal outcomes.
Technical Expertise
- Strong skills in modeling methods with experience or certifications in DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data models, as well as dimensional modeling and Data Vault.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda, event-driven) in Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Experience in designing E2E architectures balancing performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Knowledge in data integration and ETL, designing integration layer architecture from diverse sources (ERP, CRM, APIs, etc.).
- Familiarity with metadata and event-driven architecture.
- Proficient in reviewing engineering work done in SQL, Python, Spark, as well as understanding relational and NoSQL databases.
Language Proficiency
Fluent in English; fluency in French is highly preferred.
