The Opportunity

As a valued member of our MedTech team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, verifying, and managing the lifecycle of embedded electronic and firmware solutions for cutting-edge medical devices utilized in blood parameter monitoring and diabetes care. Your work will directly influence challenging projects, innovative solutions, and products that deliver real value to our customers worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify embedded electronic systems and firmware for innovative medical devices.
- Translate product and system requirements into robust electronic hardware and embedded firmware solutions.
- Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
- Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits.
- Create, review, and maintain technical documentation including specifications and verification reports.
- Build, test, and optimize prototypes and pre-production electronic assemblies.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting using lab equipment.
- Plan and execute verification activities, simulations, and design reviews.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, QARA, and more.
- Support requirements management, risk management, and compliance activities.
- Evaluate and integrate sensors and wireless communication technologies into future products.
- Coordinate and contribute to external development activities with suppliers and development partners.
- Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Who You Are
You are passionate about solving complex technical challenges in an environment that merges electronics, embedded software, sensing technologies, and medical innovation. You thrive under pressure and are adept at working within agile, cross-functional teams. Your proactive, hands-on approach drives you to develop technologies that enhance blood parameter monitoring and diabetes care.
Your Profile
- Degree in electronics engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience from concept to manufacturing in product development.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electronic product development.
- Experience with electronic systems in regulated environments like pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
- Strong background in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Hands-on experience in electronic debugging and troubleshooting.
- Firmware development experience, particularly in C and C++.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of System Engineering and requirements management.
- Experience with test plan creation and feasibility studies.
- Familiarity with simulation, reliability calculation, and electronic design verification.
- Experience with sensor interfacing and wireless device development (BLE, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
- Proficient in PCB layout design and review; familiarity with Altium Designer.
