JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER
for our Biotech business.
Our software engineers develop next-generation technologies that transform how biopharma digitizes and automates bioprocess development, helping to bring essential new medications to patients. Lucullus® and our web applications are constantly being developed and improved to manage diverse information from numerous sources within highly complex and ever-evolving environments. We aim to maintain our leading position in the bioprocess solutions market.
YOUR PROFILE
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to backend development across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Work closely with senior developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable backend solutions.
- Apply relevant design patterns and architectural principles to build clean and robust software.
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines to ensure clean, secure, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance improvements.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in backend development, applying them where relevant to your projects.
Among your skills and qualifications, you bring:
- 4+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of the Spring framework and RESTful services.
- Experience working on large projects with multiple SCRUM teams.
- Familiarity with database development (JDBC/Hibernate/JPA) is advantageous.
- Understanding of design patterns and software architecture principles is a plus.
- Exposure to frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js) is a bonus.
- Experience with automation/communication protocols and (bio-)process engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite is highly welcomed.
- You are goal-oriented, capable of working independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills for team collaboration and effective communication in an international and intercultural setting.
- You communicate effectively in English.
