On behalf of our international partner, RED Global is exclusively managing the recruitment of a Senior Data Engineer. In this rapidly growing organization, where data plays an increasingly vital role, you will be instrumental in the further development of the Enterprise Data Platform.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the data platform from an engineering perspective. With your technical and functional expertise, you will bridge the gap between business, IT, and Data Engineering. You will take ownership of the platform, translate business needs into sustainable solutions, and ensure technical quality. Furthermore, you will coach fellow data engineers and guide the ongoing professionalization of the data platform.

• Discuss and translate business requirements into suitable data solutions
• Unlock data sources, develop data pipelines, and model data
• Monitor and enhance data architecture, quality, security, and compliance
• Develop and uphold technical standards and best practices
• Identify, initiate, and implement improvements within the data platform
• Coach and guide fellow data engineers from a functional leadership role
• Act as a strong content sparring partner for internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile

You are an experienced Data Engineer who looks beyond mere technology. You demonstrate ownership, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and excel at translating complex issues into practical solutions. Additionally, you communicate clearly, easily shift between different stakeholders, and find energy in mentoring and developing colleagues.

• HBO/WO work and thinking level
• Proven track record in Data Engineering within Cloud environments, ideally Azure
• Experience with modern data architectures such as lakehouse and medallion, as well as data warehousing, data quality, governance, security, DevOps, and CI/CD
• Strong analytical skills, demonstrating ownership and entrepreneurship with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical issues
