On behalf of Koppert, RED Global is excited to announce an opening for a Network Engineer who excels in managing and enhancing international network infrastructure. Koppert, headquartered in Berkel and Rodenrijs, operates globally in the fields of biological crop protection and natural pollination. With a strong societal mission, the organization aids growers in protecting their crops through more natural and sustainable methods.

The international IT environment supports approximately 2,700 users across more than 30 locations. From daily monitoring and incident management to network expansions, security, new production lines, and international hardware replacements, you will play a vital role in maintaining a reliable, secure, and future-proof network.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the international network infrastructure.
• Analyze and resolve network, Wi-Fi, and performance issues.
• Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.
• Perform root cause analyses to prevent recurring disruptions.
• Collaborate on projects related to network expansions, security, new production lines, and hardware renewals.
• Advise on improvements concerning capacity, redundancy, and new technologies.

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in networking.
• In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
• Experience with network hardware from brands such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, or Juniper.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English.
• Proactive, eager to learn, solution-oriented, and able to identify tasks that need to be addressed.
• Willingness to participate in shared incident response following the onboarding period.
