The Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) is a state-of-the-art research and training facility, collaboratively established by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. With cutting-edge technologies and expertise in omics research, FGCZ provides vital research services and project support to the vibrant Zurich life science research community.
The FGCZ Proteomics Unit actively supports both internal and external research groups by delivering services, training, and instrument access. The analytical portfolio encompasses the identification, characterization, and quantification of proteins in body fluids, tissues, and cells. In collaboration with the Bioinformatics team, the Proteomics Unit manages all stages from initial consultation and experimental design to sample preparation, liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) data acquisition, data processing, and data analysis. Our team is bolstered by IT and bioinformatics experts, alongside support from the Metabolomics and Genomics Units, to facilitate multi-omics approaches.
