Principal Electrical Engineer - Permanent - USA

Proclinical is collaborating with an innovative technology company that is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join its growing team. This role is ideal for someone who has transitioned from an engineering or technical product development environment into project leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will manage complex product development projects, work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Requirements:

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Background spanning mechanical, electrical, software, systems, or interdisciplinary engineering
• Experience transitioning from an engineering role into project management
• Exposure to regulated or technically complex industries
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
• Experience supporting customer-driven product development programs
• Systems engineering experience is beneficial

Key Responsibilities of the Principal Electrical Engineer:

• Lead product development projects from concept through delivery
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Coordinate activities across engineering, design, quality, testing, and external partners
• Monitor project risks and drive mitigation plans
• Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, reports, and status updates
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and clients
• Support project planning, resource allocation, and project execution
• Lead project meetings and ensure alignment across stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
• Support proposal development and new project planning activities
• Ensure adherence to established quality and project management processes

Compensation:

$85,000 to $120,000 per annum.
