Within the Richemont group, the China Affairs & Strategy department has proven to be a vital asset in nurturing relationships between various Chinese organizations and Richemont’s Maisons. This department provides strategic advice as an intelligence desk and operational support to all Richemont Maisons, ensuring high-level representation towards trade and official partners in China. Currently, we are seeking a proactive and operational Project Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and Analysis
- Regularly monitor the Chinese economy, society, policy, companies, and clientele.
- Conduct research and forecasts on Chinese outbound tourism trends.
- Provide insights into the domestic market, especially focusing on emerging trends and brands.
- Undertake ad-hoc research based on requests from Richemont Maisons.
- Business Support
- Offer internal support for Maison strategic and operational planning.
- Assist in the Chinese business development activities of the Maisons (HQ & Markets).
- Facilitate internal discussions about Chinese market and clientele development with senior management teams from the Maisons.
- Construct and implement operational action plans for the Maisons in the Chinese market.
- Business Partnership Development
- Build and maintain relationships with global business partners.
- Optimize existing relationships and develop business opportunities with current partners.
- Identify new potential partners and local diaspora communities in key markets.
- Initiate partnerships with local specialized partners to enhance access to their high-net-worth Chinese networks.
- Project Management
- Initiate, implement, and monitor projects to enhance exchanges and cooperation between Maisons and business partners.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree or higher in Marketing, Management, Economics, International Relations, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research analysis and/or business development; experience in the luxury industry is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of the Chinese consumer market and the luxury industry.
- Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills, along with impeccable analytical skills suitable for editorial and research tasks.
- Detail-oriented individual with experience in implementing business development projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex issues and coordinate multiple stakeholders and projects.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
