Project Manager for Caregivers

Job Description

The Prevention and Solidarity Pole (PPS) of the Department of Integration and Solidarity (DIRIS), under the aegis of the General Directorate of Social Cohesion (DGCS), is a vibrant and multidisciplinary entity focused on home care support, caregiver assistance, and the prevention of violence. To enhance its capabilities, the PPS is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate the cantonal support program for caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cantonal support program for caregivers and ensure the implementation of cantonal priorities aimed at enhancing support and recognition for caregivers.
• Coordinate collaborations with relevant stakeholders and ensure the follow-up of strategic and parliamentary matters.
• Monitor delegated services for caregiver support and the development of new projects, mandates, or services.
• Develop management and evaluation tools, and participate in needs analysis as well as the evolution of services and support measures.
• Represent the Directorate within various platforms and specialized bodies, while ensuring monitoring of legislative and scientific developments, as well as innovative practices in the field.
• Ensure coordination of communication actions, awareness campaigns, and the promotion of cantonal support services for caregivers with all stakeholders at both the cantonal and inter-cantonal levels.
• Participate in or ensure inter-cantonal coordination of annual communication actions and the Day of Caregivers (JPA).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Training in public administration or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management is necessary.
• Strong knowledge of issues and developments regarding caregiving.
• Exemplary sense of responsibility and public service ethics.
• Outstanding organizational skills, time management, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Excellent writing capabilities.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Effective oral expression and a spirit of mutual aid and collaboration.
