Job Opportunity: Private & Production Cook

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Private & Production Cook for a unique full-time position that combines two different culinary environments. The role is divided approximately 50/50 between working as a private cook in Zurich and supporting our production kitchen in Glattbrugg.

Your Responsibilities

Private Cook – Zurich

Approximately 50% of the position will involve preparing meals in a private household in Zurich. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing primarily dinner according to the household's needs and preferences
• Planning and preparing fresh, varied, and high-quality meals
• Taking care of the kitchen and leaving the workspace clean and organized
• Independently managing the preparation and cooking process
• Adapting to changing schedules and requirements when necessary

Work at the private household generally begins at approximately 16:00 and continues until the meal preparation and related kitchen duties are completed.

Production Kitchen – Glattbrugg

The remaining approximately 50% of the position will be based in the Yajar production kitchen in Glattbrugg. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and procedures
• Ensuring consistency and quality during preparation
• Portioning and filling prepared food into jars
• Supporting the general production process
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic working environment

Working Schedule

This is a 100% position with a flexible working schedule, based on a maximum of five working days per week. The position requires availability to work one Saturday every two weeks. Working days and hours may vary depending on production requirements and the private household's schedule. Flexibility is therefore an important part of the role.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys cooking and working with food
• Is reliable, organized, and able to work independently
• Has a strong sense of cleanliness and hygiene
• Is comfortable working both in a production kitchen and a private household
• Is flexible regarding working hours and changing daily requirements
• Has a hands-on and practical approach to work
• Can follow established recipes accurately and consistently
• Speaks English confidently (mandatory), German is a plus

Formal culinary training or a specific level of seniority is not required. Practical cooking experience, reliability, and the right attitude are more important to us.
