Job Offer: Biologist - Cell Line Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated biologist with a strong technical background to contribute to the development of our cell line engineering service. This role is ideal for cell biologists eager to embrace new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Your Challenge:

  • Hands-on development of efficient processes for our cell line engineering workflow in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team of cell line engineers, biologists, and automation specialists.
  • Active participation in the continuous improvement of our workflow by identifying risks and failures and solving technical issues.
  • Development of innovative solutions to streamline the cell line engineering process and enhance our portfolio.
  • Analysis and interpretation of experimental results, including identification of trends, anomalies, and opportunities for further research.
  • Meticulous performance of experiments, ensuring high standards of accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Presentation of findings and updates to internal stakeholders, clearly communicating the implications and potential applications of the results.
  • Contribution to the maintenance of a well-organized and efficient lab environment.

Your Profile:

  • Master's or PhD in cell biology or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of practical experience, with industry experience being a significant advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mammalian cell culture, including maintenance and expansion, particularly with challenging cells such as immune cells, iPSCs, neuronal cells, etc.
  • Technical knowledge in general laboratory techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, immunofluorescence, etc.).
  • Comfortable with wet-lab work, experimental troubleshooting, and handling lab equipment (e.g., cell seeder, imager, etc.).
  • Experience in designing and optimizing experiments, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements.
  • Experience in process development in cell line development is an advantage.
  • Capable of working autonomously, taking ownership of projects, and driving innovation.
  • Ability to outline the problem space and define key questions with a problem-solving mindset.
  • High proficiency in English (written and spoken).
