- Utilize Machine Learning models for the automated analysis of core image data and geophysical data logs.
- Apply explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques to identify the driving features of ML models and to enhance model interpretability.
- Conduct uncertainty quantification to evaluate the reliability of predictions and the robustness of ML/AI models.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present work at conferences.
- You hold a master's degree in geosciences (such as geochemistry, geology, geophysics, or a related discipline) with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and data-driven modeling, or alternatively, a master's degree in data science, mathematics, computer science, informatics, or physics with a keen focus on geoscience applications.
- You possess programming experience (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, C/C++).
- You have a strong interest in data (e.g., images, categorical data, numerical data, geoscientific data, subsurface data) and its interpretation.
- You showcase excellent communication and writing skills in English.
