W Talent is excited to support an aerospace manufacturing business in Nottingham, currently in search of a Manufacturing Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team. The Role

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in developing, improving, and sustaining manufacturing processes. Your efforts will ensure that products are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with aerospace standards. Working closely with the Production, Quality, Design, and Supply Chain teams, you will support both new and existing programs, embedding robust process control and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), including process validation and production readiness.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and production part approval processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support capacity planning, tooling requirements, and production layout improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality teams to maintain robust process control and audit readiness.
• Liaise with suppliers and external partners as needed to support process improvements.

Key Requirements

• Degree, HNC, or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to commute to Nottingham on a daily basis, Monday to Friday.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Process Improvements.
• Experience supporting NPI and production process validation activities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Salary & Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and is based in Nottingham.
