As our company continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a qualified professional to strengthen our IT Department. We are currently recruiting for the position of IT Manager, who will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the IT infrastructure, systems, services, staff, and vendors of STAAR Surgical AG for both Swiss and international users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal operation of IT infrastructure and systems, maintaining minimal downtime and unplanned outages.
  • Perform validations for infrastructure and systems as applicable.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging technologies to propose improvements in security, cost reduction, system performance, and compliance maintenance.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and system administration as needed, including during non-business hours for weekend and second shift production.
  • Manage IT staff by establishing goals and objectives, providing job-related training, and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Review and update IT policies and procedures to comply with applicable regulations and standards.

Your Qualifications

  • Completed degree in IT.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Management with a strong focus on IT Infrastructure.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Networking, and support for ERP systems (i.e., Oracle, SAP).
  • Proficient experience with warehouse and manufacturing technologies such as printers, RF guns, and IoT devices.
  • Project Management experience in implementing hardware and software systems.
  • Very good English skills — both spoken and written. French and/or German is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
  • A stress-resistant, reliable, and flexible personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Open-minded and service-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work before and after normal business hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
