About Us

Welcome to our award-winning ecologically designed campus located in the heart of the Rheintal, in Buchs. We are looking for a dedicated and community-oriented School Nurse to join our support staff. This vital and rewarding role focuses on promoting the safety, happiness, and well-being of our entire international community.

About the Role

  • Position: School Nurse
  • Workload: 47% Full-Time Equivalent
  • Contract Duration: 1 April 2026 (earlier start possible) – 31 October 2026
  • Location: International School Rheintal, Werdenbergstrasse 17, 9470 Buchs, Switzerland

This is a part-time position aligned with the school term calendar, ensuring a consistent schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 1:15 PM during ISR term time, with an additional week at the end of the school year and one week prior to the start of the academic year (approximately 195 days annually).

Your Profile

We are in search of a highly professional individual who excels in an international context and is dedicated to maximizing the support provided to our students.

We are seeking a School Nurse who:

  • Is fully certified and authorized to practice nursing in Switzerland.
  • Has a minimum of three years of experience in community health, pediatrics, and/or emergency care.
  • Brings a strong community-oriented approach and a genuine passion for working with children and young people (ages 3–19).
  • Demonstrates a proactive and flexible "can-do" approach to health management and emergencies.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills in English and upholds strict confidentiality within a diverse student body and staff.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children while contributing to a positive and healthy school environment.
