Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be pivotal in enhancing and developing our drone avionics. This encompasses various responsibilities, including:
- Improvement and development of drone avionics, which includes electrical wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, battery systems, and power management.
- Creating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and configurations.
- Testing components and sub-systems, with a focus on electrical components and systems.
- Supporting the testing of complete drone systems.
- Engaging in root cause problem-solving.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Electrical assembly of components and systems for testing.
- Managing avionics component and system suppliers.
- Assuming system design responsibility.
- Contributing to the improvement of SwissDrones processes and procedures.
Your Profile
We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A solid technical education, such as an apprenticeship as an aircraft electronic technician or an equivalent qualification.
- Higher education is optional, perhaps in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the avionics and electronics industry.
- Proficiency in one of the major CAD programs for electronics.
- Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Background in environments with high quality and safety requirements (e.g., aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices).
- Experience in software integration, configuration, programming, or software development is a plus.
- A high degree of flexibility and an ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing company.
- Willingness to tackle challenges and improve company procedures and processes.
- Strong team player attributes.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with M365 (Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams).
- A strong can-do/will-do attitude.
