Your Crew:
Join our multidisciplinary team of 11 engineers, where you will contribute to the industrialization and support of serial production of launch vehicle structures in Emmen (LU). You will work in a multicultural environment, closely collaborating with development engineering and our operations organization, all while engaging with a broad range of technologies. Your Mission:
- Lead the Discipline of Total Productive Maintenance for the Swiss Structure operations.
- Establish a robust and standardized TPM program for the Emmen facilities, revising current processes and standard operating procedures as necessary.
- Plan, execute, and deliver on scope, time, and budget for all maintenance-related activities.
- Ensure plant jigs, tools, machinery, and equipment are maintained in safe operating condition by completing planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance requirements. Maintain a safe and compliant working environment through adherence to all internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain equipment in optimal production condition through adherence to the established TPM Program.
- Effectively and economically manage external resources to maintain equipment operations in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Continuously review production effectiveness to identify improvement opportunities, collaborating with the Operations team to implement preventive actions that drive long-term sustainment plans.
- Oversee plant and station/equipment reliability for industrial optimization, aiming to continuously reduce costs through improved equipment operations, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Manage and organize the critical equipment spare parts inventory and budget using lean manufacturing principles. Establish optimal part quantities and re-order points to mitigate machine downtime.
- Continuously develop and improve the plant’s maintenance planning system, ensuring it effectively reduces unplanned downtime and costs while increasing machine productivity and maximizing throughput.
- Lead according to the BG Space values and Code of Conduct, driving people, knowledge, and leadership development.
Most Important Output and KPIs:
- Establish a comprehensive TPM program roadmap, outlining short-, mid-, and long-term goals and activities.
- Strategically align the BPM TPM Process within BGL and maintain it as necessary.
- Establish an BGLC Emmen TPM Budget and maintain it year on year.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated insight into quality and safety standards, including AS9100 and OSHA or similar.
- Experience with tooling for processing composite, metallic, and non-metallic materials.
- Familiarity with automation and machining.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in the Space or Aerospace industry.
- Knowledge/experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma; experience with SAP or other ERP systems and MS Office.
- Proficient with MES, CAD, and other complex software.
- Knowledge of Industrie 4.0/5.0 concepts.
