Our Instrumental Analytics department is a pivotal part of Reagent Research and Design. We develop, validate, and implement a diverse array of analytical methods using advanced technologies such as Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, digital PCR, and FTIR microscopy. In addition to our routine activities, we engage in research projects that explore and evaluate innovative approaches. We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician (Research Assistant) who thrives in a hands-on, multi-technology environment. In this role, you will work with various analytical platforms and have the opportunity to expand your technical expertise across a variety of instruments. You will be part of a collaborative team that values reliability, curiosity, and practical problem-solving.

The Perfect Candidate

The ideal candidate has completed formal training as a Laboratory Technician or holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field, and possesses 2-3 years of laboratory experience. You have a curious and open mind, eager to think beyond conventional approaches. Being receptive to new ideas and working effectively within a team are key attributes. You communicate confidently in English, and experience with statistical data analysis as well as German language skills would be an advantage.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan analysis with support from supervisory staff
• Prepare standards and samples
• Perform experiments on different instruments
• Conduct data analysis with support from supervisory staff
• Document experiments
• Escalate issues when plans deviate
• Recommend next steps based on generated data
• Drive efforts for increased efficiency within work packages
• Organize and manage your own time within the scope of assigned work packages
• Order and maintain stock of materials

Must Haves

• Completed education as a Laboratory Technician (Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a laboratory environment within academic research or industry (Pharma, MedTech)
• Basic experience with Liquid Chromatography
• Experience with PCR
• Initial experience in statistical data analysis & evaluation
• Fluency in English
• Strong interest in practical lab work
• Able to think multidirectionally
• Team player
