The Laboratory of Ecosystem and Landscape Evolution at ETH Zurich is seeking a motivated and skilled laboratory technician to join our international research team. Our focus is on analyzing environmental DNA (eDNA) samples to understand biodiversity and its intricate connections to ecosystem dynamics and landscape evolution.
At our laboratory, we study the mechanisms that shape biodiversity patterns across spatial and temporal scales, in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, responding to global changes. Our team collects data through various methods including biological monitoring, remote sensing, and field sampling, utilizing this data to address questions with statistical and process-based models of biological diversity. We are dedicated to translating scientific findings and innovative technologies into environmental applications to tackle significant ecological challenges.
In this role, you will support a wide range of molecular laboratory tasks, primarily focused on the processing of eDNA samples. Your responsibilities include:
We are looking for a well-organized, precise, and motivated technician with proven experience in molecular biology. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility toward laboratory tasks.
