HSE Specialist / HSE Specialistess

Main Tasks

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure the adaptation and deployment of Sodexo’s HSE Strategy at each operational site.
  • Review national legislation, compare it with Group requirements, and develop health, safety, and environmental procedures within the local Sodexo management system for all services provided on site.
  • Maintain the local Sodexo HSE Management System.
  • Conduct risk assessments.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training sessions.
  • Manage incidents and administrate the SALUS system, ensuring systematic registration of all accidents, near misses, and observations on site.
  • Prepare reports related to occupational health and safety, as well as environmental concerns.
  • Conduct HSE audits on site in the areas of occupational health, safety, and the environment, and assist with external audits.
  • Support and build relationships with operational teams to drive behavioral change and achieve optimal results in occupational health and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with the building technology teams to ensure seamless integration of HSE requirements into technical operations and facility processes.
  • Support HSE implementation and operational readiness at our new site in Lucerne, ensuring alignment with Sodexo standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality service throughout the country, adhering to timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators.

Competencies / Personal Specification

  • University graduate in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
  • Certification as an Occupational Safety Specialist.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in occupational safety.
  • Proactive and analytical, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
  • Intermediate proficiency in German and English (B1 or equivalent); proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Experience in project and process management related to workplace safety.
