Global Business & Operations (GBO) is the unit within Zurich responsible for managing our global Travel and Cyber business, alongside Zurich’s Global Operations, which encompasses Group Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Corporate Center Facilities Management, and Zurich Capability Centers (ZCC)/ global shared services centers. Our mission within Global Operations is twofold: to reduce expenses while standardizing and enhancing the quality of our services, thereby increasing overall efficiency and maximizing the benefits of shared services.

Your Role

As the newly created Head of ZCC, reporting directly to the CEO of GBO, you will play a pivotal role in transforming and managing Zurich’s global shared services centers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for ZCCs aimed at driving greater enterprise adoption, standardization, location optimization, scalability, and governance across centers.
  • Overseeing operational performance and change management for ZCC operations across various countries and providing leadership to ZCC Heads and their extended teams (IT, Finance, HR, Strategy, Assurance).
  • Leading transformational change by designing a future-ready shared services model strategy, considering additional front/middle/back-office process migration and the impact of AI.
  • Building strong relationships with business leaders, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Advocating for enterprise expansion and optimal placement of services by strategically enhancing ZCC offerings to additional Zurich country Business Units.
  • Fostering collaboration and resilience between centers, breaking down silos and building capability redundancy.
  • Ensuring consistent adherence to regulatory and compliance standards across all centers.

Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in managing transformational global shared services, including strategy, design, set-up, and governance of complex multi-tower operations.
  • A proven track record in driving enterprise change, building scalable service models, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing large teams across multiple geographies.
  • A solid understanding of property and facility management, including technical operations, supplier management, and workplace transformation.
  • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management within a global shared service context.
  • The ability to craft and communicate change narratives, advocate for strategic expansion, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A future-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation, particularly in the realms of AI and automation.
  • Strong financial planning and budgeting skills to effectively manage operational costs and budgets.
