GNC/AOCS Engineer Position in Denmark
Darwin Recruitment is currently seeking a talented GNC/AOCS Engineer to join our innovative team in Denmark. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about satellite technology and spacecraft systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design AOCS solutions and integrate and test spacecraft AOCS components and algorithms tailored to customer-specific missions.
- Engage with customers to discuss requirements and collaboratively agree on solutions.
- Specify, evaluate, and select spacecraft attitude determination sensors and actuators for specific missions.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to define architecture and spacecraft design, ensuring performance meets required standards.
- Perform simulation and development using tools such as MatLab, Simulink, C, and C++.
- Develop AOCS software, including components for both company-qualified and customer-selected parts.
- Deliver AOCS documentation customized for specific missions.
- Support the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of AOCS components and software in Cleanroom and in-orbit environments.
- Contribute to the evolution of spacecraft AOCS architecture, maintaining technical reference documentation for design and development.
Requirements
- Relevant technical knowledge acquired through education in Control and Automation (preferably at the MSc level or beyond) and/or professional high-tech experience.
- Strong understanding of CubeSat or spacecraft attitude determination and control systems.
- Preferred experience in spacecraft system engineering.
- Recent involvement in projects developing space hardware or software, especially in spacecraft attitude determination and control.
- Familiarity with spacecraft attitude determination and control system components, such as IMUs, star trackers, reaction wheels, and reaction control systems.
- Interest in spacecraft propulsion systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python, MatLab).
- Experience with Linux-based systems.
- Hands-on experience programming microcontrollers is desirable.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience engaging with customers and simplifying complex technologies for better understanding.
- Fluency in English at a professional level.
