What You Will Actually Do
This role is not about theoretical research or endless prototyping. It's about:
- Understanding Problems Deeply: Engage directly with clients and their domain experts. Ask the right questions, map problems, and challenge assumptions.
- Building Fast, Building Well: Quickly prototype solutions and transform them into robust, production-ready systems.
- Shipping Products that Matter: Deliver end-to-end solutions in life sciences, supply chain, production, and finance, owning everything from architecture to testing, deployment, observability, and iteration.
- Shaping How We Work: Influence ekona's technical roadmap, contribute to developing our AI engineering playbook, frameworks, and tooling. Your curiosity and ideas will be valued.
What You Need
We prioritize how you think, learn, and build over the specific technologies you have used. You'll excel in this role if you can:
- Quickly learn new tools, frameworks, and architectures.
- Work comfortably with AI/LLM tooling or are eager to learn on the job.
- Demonstrate strong foundations in modern software engineering.
- Successfully ship real systems end-to-end, not just prototypes.
- Navigate cloud environments and handle containerized deployments.
- Design and develop scalable APIs and data flows.
- Apply AI multi-agent or LLM-based patterns—or learn them swiftly.
- Work comfortably with Python and TypeScript, or ramp up quickly.
- Architect robust and maintainable systems.
