Job Title: Franchise Head High Specialty
The Franchise Head High Specialty is accountable for leading the High Specialty sales and marketing team to ensure the commercial success of the Franchise’s generic and biosimilar assets across Neurology, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, and Addiction Medicine.
Your Key Responsibilities:
As the Franchise Head, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the Franchise’s P&L, closely monitoring budgeting, forecasting, and sales performance of the High Specialty portfolio, which includes generic and biosimilar assets in Neurology, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, and Addiction Medicine.
- Lead and guide the sales and marketing teams, directing the Franchise’s Key Account Managers (KAMs) to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- Define a targeted go-to-market model for the Franchise’s portfolio, encompassing channel strategy and commercial terms to maximize value across customer segments and key accounts.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand positioning, engage key opinion leaders, and effectively promote the Franchise’s portfolio.
- Enhance field force effectiveness by ensuring KAMs focus on the right customers with the right message at the right frequency to maximize their impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Medical, Market Access, and Supply Chain to successfully engage diverse customer groups and amplify the impact of sales and marketing efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting collaboration and alignment to achieve the Franchise’s business objectives.
- Collaborate with Region Europe and Global teams responsible for key High Specialty products to leverage innovative ideas and concepts from other countries and fully utilize above-country initiatives and promotional assets.
- Lead talent development for the Franchise, maintaining a relentless focus on coaching while embodying the Sandoz core values.
- KPIs include: achievement of Gross Sales, Net Sales, and Total Functional Cost (TFC) requirements for the Franchise.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
Essential Requirements:
- University degree in bioscience, medicine, business, or economics; MBA or PhD preferred.
- Fluency in business-level English, with proficiency in German and ideally French.
- Substantial sales and marketing experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including 3-5 years in a management position.
- Proven track record of P&L responsibility.
- In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace, including key dynamics, competitors, and regulatory processes.
- Demonstrated experience with Specialty Care product launches and commercialization processes.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing sales and marketing teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
