Here, you can explore innovative solutions and leverage your talents to tackle real-world problems. Collaborating with industry experts will allow you to enhance your skills while contributing to our mission of making technology accessible to millions as a key player in the mixed reality (XR) ecosystem. We are seeking a Manager to lead an engineering team of four within the Perception group. This role will be responsible for the systems that collect essential real-world sensor data, including ground truth data from our XR devices. Such data is critical for the development and validation of various perception features including head tracking, eye tracking, depth estimation, and object tracking. You will balance leadership with hands-on technical contributions—defining technical strategies, setting roadmaps in alignment with internal stakeholders, architecting data collection tooling, and writing production code while mentoring a cross-disciplinary engineering team. You will oversee two data collection labs equipped with technology such as OptiTrack, LiDARs, and robotic arms across different geographic regions.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned, versatile engineer capable of operating autonomously, creating opportunities, balancing strategic planning with tactical execution, and fostering talent while driving technical excellence.
Important: This position requires leading a distributed team across Europe and the US, so flexibility in working across multiple time zones is essential. This is a hybrid role but requires close proximity to our Zurich office, with occasional travel required.
