We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician in Electrical Engineering for an esteemed international company specializing in rail infrastructure. This organization supports large rail projects with materials, logistics, and technical services. Based in Hilversum, they ensure that machinery and installations operate at peak efficiency, and your contribution will be vital: without functioning machines, operations come to a halt.

The position offers a less outdoor and malfunction-driven environment compared to field service, yet it remains technically challenging. The focus will be on maintaining and enhancing a diverse fleet of machines, integrating electrical engineering, control systems, and mechanics. You will work closely with a small team and enjoy considerable autonomy in problem-solving.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, installations, and tools.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions, including issues with PLC controls and drives.
• Evaluate malfunctions and determine when to engage external parties.
• Develop temporary solutions to maintain safe production operations.
• Assist and mentor operators with technical maintenance.
• Oversee external technicians and maintenance teams.
• Propose ideas for optimizing machinery and processes.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds at least an MBO degree in electrical engineering or possesses comparable experience.
• Can read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Has knowledge of PLCs, control technology, and regulated drives.
• Is familiar with various machines, such as milling, turning, and sawing machines, conveyor belts, and cranes.
• Has a basic understanding of mechanics (or is enthusiastic about learning).
• Is capable of working independently and making informed technical decisions.
• Puts safety and quality at the forefront of their work.
• Enjoys collaborating in a small, cohesive team.
