ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems of up to 500 kilograms. We offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in PCB design and electronics development. Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAV/UAS electronics systems is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with PCB design software (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCAD).
- Experience with simulation tools (PSpice or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design principles.
- Knowledge of power electronics, including switching regulators, DC-DC converters, and battery management systems.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems hardware.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and mitigation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with electronics testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other test equipment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to support both design and production activities. Willingness to thrive in both office and production floor environments.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and certification standards (e.g., FAA AC 21-99(0), SAE AS50881, IPC-2221), DO-254 certification process, and automotive or aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Communication: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Capability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Language: Proficient in English (oral and written). Knowledge of German is desirable.
Key Tasks
- PCB Design & Development:
- Design and develop printed circuit boards for avionics, power distribution, sensor interfaces, and control systems.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Perform component selection and generate bill of materials (BOM).
- Ensure designs meet aerospace environmental requirements.
- Develop multilayer PCB designs considering controlled impedance and high-speed signal routing.
- Electronics System Design:
- Design analog and digital circuits including power supplies, sensor interfaces, and communication circuits.
- Develop power management systems with voltage regulation and distribution networks.
- Implement EMI/EMC mitigation techniques in circuit and PCB design.
- Testing & Validation:
- Develop test plans and procedures for PCB and electronics validation.
- Conduct debugging and characterization of new PCB designs.
- Support environmental testing and analyze performance data.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Create detailed technical documentation including design specifications and test reports.
- Maintain configuration management for designs.
- Support certification activities compliant with aerospace standards.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers for component procurement and PCB fabrication.
