Divisional Portfolio & Asset Surveyor - North

Screwfix is renowned for its expansive network of over 1,000 stores across the UK, Ireland, and France, successfully launching approximately one store each week for more than a decade. In line with its ongoing growth, W Talent Property & Real Estate is collaborating with Screwfix to recruit a Divisional Portfolio & Asset Surveyor to enhance the performance and optimization of one of the UK's most dynamic retail property portfolios.

The Opportunity

This pivotal role reports to the Divisional Portfolio & Asset Manager and focuses on delivering regional estate strategies. You will play a vital part in managing lease events, optimizing portfolio performance, controlling occupancy costs, and identifying opportunities to create value throughout the estate. This highly commercial position offers exposure to lease negotiations, portfolio analysis, asset management initiatives, and stakeholder engagement within a leading retail environment.

This role is remote, enabling you to join a collaborative Property team spread across the UK. Your focus will be on managing the property portfolio in the Northern region, which extends from the Midlands to Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support rent reviews, lease renewals, re-gears, and broader lease event activities.
  • Prepare market evidence, portfolio analysis, and decision-making reports.
  • Maintain divisional lease event and asset management plans.
  • Conduct selected lease negotiations directly and manage external advisors.
  • Support dilapidations, landlord consents, and broader estate management matters.
  • Conduct site inspections and contribute to portfolio optimization projects.
  • Identify risks and opportunities that enhance estate performance.

About You

We are eager to connect with property professionals experienced in commercial property, lease advisory, asset management, or estate management. Ideally, you will possess:

  • MRICS qualification or be actively working towards APC.
  • Experience in retail, occupier, or multi-site property environments.
  • Exposure to lease events and landlord negotiations.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills.
