The Role of Director of Food and Beverage

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Food and Beverage to join The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel in Switzerland!

In this role, reporting to the General Manager, you will assist in leading the daily Food and Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service and attention to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selection, talent management, and development of our Food and Beverage team.
  • Being visible in the operation to recognize guests and cultivate new relationships.
  • Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef to plan and develop menus and wine lists.
  • Controlling expenses through effective planning, budgeting, and purchasing decisions.
  • Policy making and inventory control to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensuring our guests receive the highest levels of service excellence.

You will demonstrate a unique talent for building, leading, coaching, training, and developing a strong team. You will ensure our employees feel at home and receive the highest levels of support and care, while also creating a vibrant workplace for all to deliver outstanding experiences.

The ideal Director of Food and Beverage candidate will possess:

  • A passion for consistently delivering the highest standards and ensuring that our food offerings are at the heart of our guest experience.
  • A wealth of Food and Beverage experience in luxury resorts, coupled with a desire to focus on team development.
  • A creative flair, bringing personal touch and energy to all food and beverage experiences.
  • Previous pre-opening experience, which is essential for this role.

Applicants should have a minimum of five to seven years of experience across diverse Food and Beverage management positions, and hotel opening experience is highly desirable. Fluency in German and English is essential for this location, along with eligibility to work in the EU.
