Sonnenhof Arlesheim AG, with approximately 520 employees, is recognized as one of the leading social enterprises in the fields of special education, housing, and day care, operating in Arlesheim and Basel. Around 300 children, adolescents, and adults in need of support find a place for development, guidance, and participation here.

We are seeking to fill the role of Head of Housing & Day Care for Adults as soon as possible or by agreement. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the overall operational and financial management of the "Housing & Day Care" area within the adult sector, overseeing 200 employees while ensuring a value-oriented approach to leadership.

Your Responsibilities

• Strategically develop the adult sector, ensuring an attractive and client-centered service offering.
• Manage profitability, quality, and resource allocation efficiently.
• Implement systematic performance indicators and optimize processes for enhanced effectiveness.
• Maintain sustainable networks with associations and referral agencies.
• Promote innovative housing and day structures that support individual development and social participation in accordance with the UN-CRPD.
• Collaborate with the management team to drive the further development of Sonnenhof and share responsibility for operational and financial leadership.
• Foster a cooperative and responsible leadership culture.
• Professionally represent Sonnenhof to external stakeholders and strengthen its position as a reliable partner and attractive employer.

Your Profile

You possess a tertiary qualification in social work, nursing, or a related field, along with further training in management within the social sector. You bring several years of leadership experience, ideally in social or health settings, along with a strong business acumen and experience in project management, organizational development, and change processes. As a respectful and socially aware leader, you think strategically, work across disciplines, and are adept at integrating various professional expertise.

Additionally, an interest in anthroposophy or a willingness to engage with this approach is essential. You lead with openness and clarity, empowering your leadership delegates to act independently, while setting a standard of constructive criticism and self-reflection.
