Cloud DevOps Engineer - Contract Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer for a short-term contract with one of our key partners. This role is part of a Landing Zone Migration project and offers the flexibility of remote work within the EU. The initial contract is set to last until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension.

About the Role

In this position, you will be instrumental in designing, migrating, and operationalizing enterprise Azure Landing Zones. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that cloud environments are secure, scalable, and compliant. Key responsibilities include:

• Building infrastructure using Terraform
• Designing Azure networking and identity/RBAC
• Implementing security controls
• Developing CI/CD pipelines
• Setting up monitoring and observability
• Supporting cost optimization
• Collaborating closely with security, networking, and development teams throughout the cloud migration process

Desired Skills

• 4+ years of Azure Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Strong expertise in Terraform
• Proven experience in Azure Landing Zone design and migration
• Familiarity with Azure management groups, subscriptions, and policies
• Knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID
• Experience with RBAC, managed identity, conditional access, and PIM
• Proficiency in Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Understanding of Azure Networking, including Hub-and-Spoke and Virtual WAN
• Experience with cloud security principles (zero trust, network segmentation, encryption, and key management)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Proficient in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Familiarity with Git workflows and branching strategies
• Strong English communication skills and ability to produce technical documentation
