Imperix is a leading provider of control and prototyping solutions for power electronics. Founded in 2013 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), we develop and commercialize prototyping and test equipment for power electronics, electric drives, smart grids, and related fields. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a development engineer, you will take ownership of 2-3 epics or feature developments each year. You’ll lead these projects from the initial definition of the technical solution to the commercial promotion of the implemented result. Collaborating closely with the epic/feature director, you will receive application-level requirements and guidance throughout your work. Engaging with a team of software development engineers, firmware engineers, and power electronics engineers is essential, and you will also interact with customers, particularly during larger projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN DUTIES

In your role as project owner for 2-3 features/epics per year, you will be tasked to:

• Collaborate with the director to identify the technical solution (including software architecture, implementation approach, and user interface).
• Schedule your own activities and coordinate with colleagues involved in the projects.
• Execute software development and testing.
• Produce both internal and user-oriented documentation.
• Contribute to the promotion of the results through usage examples and marketing material.
• Interact with customers to collect feedback during projects.
• Provide assistance to customers, primarily regarding the functions you developed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Hard requirements:

• BSc or MSc diploma in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Demonstrable prior experience in C++.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).

Desired additional skills:

• Prior experience with Qt.
• Experience as part of a development team in a professional context.
• Some familiarity with power electronics.
• Basic knowledge of French.
