Job Opportunity: Bilingual French/English Compliance Officer
Our client, an international leader in the maintenance and repair of aviation safety and survival equipment, is seeking a dedicated Bilingual French/English Compliance Officer to join their team based near Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris.
The Quality, Safety, and Compliance Officer will play a vital role in the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the site's Compliance Monitoring Programme and Safety Management System (SMS). This position ensures adherence to Part-145 (and, where applicable, Part-IS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day regulatory compliance activities under Part-145 (and Part-IS where applicable), liaising with authorities on routine matters with support from the Accountable Manager.
- Maintain, review, and revise the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and internal procedures.
- Operate and continuously improve the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on external audits (Authorities and Customers) and internal audits.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts and oversee Corrective/Preventive Actions (CA/PA).
- Prepare quarterly safety performance reports for the organisation.
- Implement and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) at the site level.
- Support the management of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with Part-IS requirements, where applicable.
- Oversee technical documentation and maintenance data control.
- Manage training, competence assessment, and staff authorisations for the quality/compliance function.
- Handle supplier approval, monitoring, and ongoing oversight.
- Address customer complaints and warranty investigations.
- Supervise and support Quality Assistant(s)/Engineer(s), reviewing their work and providing coaching.
Strategy & Development
- Plan and organise safety and quality training at the site level.
- Promote awareness of safety and quality requirements across the site.
- Actively support and promote the Safety Management System.
- Advise the Accountable Manager on safety and compliance matters, coordinating communication internally and with external stakeholders.
- Monitor safety and quality concerns in the aviation industry and assess their relevance to the organisation.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvements under the guidance of the Accountable Manager.
Required Profile
- Experience in quality, safety, or compliance within an aviation/MRO environment; prior audit experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of EASA Part-145 and SMS requirements; awareness of Part-IS is advantageous.
- Technical background in MRO, with relevant certification or vocational qualification.
- Some experience coordinating or reviewing the work of others (formal people-management experience is not required).
- Strong written and spoken English and French communication skills.
Salary and Conditions
Salary: €50,000 - €60,000
This role is based on-site with the possibility of one day of remote working per week.
