Position Summary

This senior expert position reports to the Head of Integrated Portfolio Communications Diagnostics. With a global scope, the role includes overall responsibility for developing integrated communications launch plans across the Diagnostics portfolio, including Roche Diagnostics Solutions and Roche Information Solutions (RDS and RIS). You will connect with Pharma partners as appropriate to drive maximum impact. In this temporary position, you will collaborate with colleagues in the Diagnostics Global Customer Service organization and Communications teams to execute communication strategies.

Your primary responsibility will be to engage and inspire key stakeholders and internal audiences through effective communication tactics and activities designed to inform and engage Diagnostics employees. As a communications expert, you will support topics such as change communication and function-specific content creation. You will rely on teamwork and collaboration within the broader Diagnostics Communications community and partner with colleagues to define key objectives, approaches, and areas of focus. Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Business Partner and Communications teams to drive planning and delivery of integrated communications strategies, narratives, and campaigns that engage stakeholders.
  • Align communications strategy, goals, and objectives with overall priorities and support high-value, impactful employee and change communications.
  • Develop communications tools and strategies to inspire a diverse workforce and equip leaders and colleagues with essential skills.
  • Support end-to-end integrated communication planning, including measurement against objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Diagnostics Customer Service organization; effectively diagnose complex topics using communication insights and metrics.
  • Stay current on internal and external developments, industry trends, and strategic communication priorities.

Must Haves

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, focusing on external communications, preferably within the pharmaceutical or diagnostics industry.
  • Ability to manage indirectly and ensure outcomes through indirect leadership.
  • International or global work experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage global communications strategies and teams.
  • Outstanding strategic agility and a thorough understanding of the healthcare/diagnostics industry.
  • Exceptional consulting and listening skills with the ability to provide targeted insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, facilitating collaboration and driving excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships in a networked, matrix environment.
  • Self-motivated, thriving in non-hierarchical, self-organizing settings.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
