About the Role

This position is designed for a QA Automation Engineer who will collaborate closely with back-end engineers and front-end/mobile developers to achieve our mission of creating high-quality products. You will help design and maintain automated testing frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers.
• Collaborate closely with developers to understand features and technical implementation, ensuring thorough test coverage.
• Participate in feature planning and sprint ceremonies, contributing a quality-first perspective.
• Test and validate APIs utilized across our products.
• Integrate automated tests with our CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
• Investigate test failures, triage issues, and assist in resolving root causes in coordination with the engineering team.
• Contribute to and help evolve our testing strategy, tools, and processes to align with best practices in automation and quality engineering.
• Advocate for a culture of testing and quality, while also supporting manual testing for edge cases or new features when needed.

Experience

• Solid experience in implementing or maintaining automated testing frameworks for web applications.
• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Symfony (PHP), Spring (Java), or FastAPI (Python).
• Experience with automation tools like Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Hands-on experience in testing RESTful APIs, both manually and through automation.
• A background in Agile environments, with a proven record of contributing to iterative development, continuous feedback, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Interest in or experience with AI tools applied to testing and quality engineering, such as AI-assisted test generation or self-healing tests.

Technical Fluency

• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript for writing test scripts.
• Comfortable working in Unix-like environments (Linux, macOS, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Understanding of responsive and cross-platform behavior across web, Android, and iOS.
• Awareness of emerging AI-driven testing methods and modern automation frameworks is a plus.
