API Integration Expert
Duration: 2+ months | Location: Remote | Start: ASAP
We are currently seeking an experienced API Integration Expert for our international client. In this role, you will focus on supporting the client in the creation of policies and governance layers for API deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the API Integration Expert.
- Define and support integration governance, including reviews and compliance processes (with a focus on automation).
- Create policies, governance, and safeguard layers for the deployment of all APIs.
- Enhance existing API and integration lifecycle processes.
- Develop API-first design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Improve the quality, documentation, metadata, and reusability of the API catalog.
- Create and deliver training sessions and workshops.
- Promote reusable, secure, and scalable APIs in collaboration with the Community of Practice.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team.
Requirements:
- Strong project experience with API integration/API management.
- Previous background as an API/Integration Architect.
- Project experience in enterprise integration and integration architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of API-first design, REST/OpenAPI, OData, and modern integration patterns.
- Experience with various integration tools/management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, MuleSoft, SAP Integration Suite).
- Prior experience in establishing API policies and governance.
- Familiarity with SAP integration, SaaS integration patterns, and integration governance.
- Experience in developing and delivering API-first training.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in international projects for European businesses.
- Fluency in English.
