Job Description: Aircraft Technician
As an Aircraft Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely execution of assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks according to established work instructions and quality processes. In this position, you will document all sub-assembly, final assembly, and maintenance tasks on aircraft, payloads, and other products while proposing root cause and corrective actions for products and systems.
Your Main Tasks:
- Conduct incoming goods inspection and testing, as well as sub-assembly and final assembly of aircraft, accessories, and payloads.
- Perform scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance work at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
- Carry out non-scheduled aircraft repair tasks, including sub-systems removal, installation, replacements, and subsequent testing at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
- Ensure all pre and post-flight maintenance is accomplished, recorded, and signed off accordingly.
- Maintain and ensure that all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is serviceable and in good order to support daily flight operations.
- Prepare the transportation of aircraft, payloads, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with Dangerous Goods requirements.
- Prepare aircraft, Ground Control Systems (GCS), and data transmission systems; assist in flight preparation and ground movements for flight missions, including providing support to external pilots as required.
- Act as a Technician instructor for internal and/or external training initiatives.
- Support root cause analysis and fault diagnosis using test equipment, implementing approved corrective actions to resolve identified issues.
- Report on tasks executed as needed by HR, Finance, or Quality departments.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Completed technical education.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technician for manned and/or unmanned aircraft, with thorough knowledge of aircraft assembly and maintenance work requirements.
- Sound technical and practical understanding of complex mechanical, mechatronic, and electrical systems.
- Strong process-oriented and structured work methods.
- Responsible demeanor with good technical understanding and communication skills.
- Proficient language skills in English (oral and written); German language skills are desirable.
