Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Manager to oversee our existing Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) business and spearhead the launch of an exciting new product in the Swiss German region. This role demands strong pharmaceutical sales expertise, strategic planning skills, and the ability to cultivate relationships with key healthcare professionals. While experience in Pulmonary Hypertension and rare diseases is advantageous, we are open to candidates with a solid background in pharmaceutical sales who are enthusiastic about launching a new product in a specialized market.
Responsibilities
- Manage the performance of the Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) portfolio while leading the successful launch of a new Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) product; this includes conducting market analysis, engaging stakeholders, implementing launch strategies, and monitoring territory performance against targets.
- Build and maintain enduring partnerships with customers, such as Scientific Leaders, Specialists, and specialized Nurses, through individual sales visits, promotional lectures, and participation in congresses and educational events.
- Tailor account management for your designated territory by understanding and mapping your customers, identifying key drivers and barriers, and comprehending the patient journey and influences on treatment decisions.
- Engage in informed product sales discussions, incorporating scientific data with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to align customer and business needs.
- Stay updated on the latest product and therapeutic area information through internal trainings, conferences, symposia, and self-education.
- Drive tailored customer engagements by utilizing data and analytics to better understand customer preferences while effectively balancing physical and digital interactions.
- Organize and co-create educational events for HCPs, including sponsorships that align with strategic priorities and budget constraints.
- Uphold the highest ethical principles by adhering to local laws, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulations.
Your Profile
- 3-5 years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, ideally in specialty care. Experience in Pulmonary Hypertension, Intestinal Lung Disease, or Rare Diseases is a strong advantage.
- A degree in Life Sciences, the medical or paramedical field, or another relevant discipline with a healthcare curriculum from an accredited institution. SHQA Certification “Certified Pharma Sales Representative” is a strong plus.
- Proven experience managing an existing product portfolio and successfully launching new products.
- A strong track record of achieving sales targets and supporting marketing efforts in a complex medical environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrating strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to create and implement marketing materials, campaigns, and projects.
- Open to innovation and experimentation.
- Fluency in German and English.
- A valid driver’s license.
