Join Our Nautical Team as 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises proudly owns and operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships navigating the beautiful European waterways, catering exclusively to English-speaking clients.
Your Responsibilities
As a 1st Captain, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
- Overseeing the maintenance of our ships both during the cruising season and in winter.
- Professionally managing the Nautical Team.
- Communicating effectively on board with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager.
About You
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube waterways.
- Familiarity with Z-Drive systems (not mandatory).
- A valid license for the Rhine up to Mainz and/or the Danube.
- Innovation, flexibility, and a proactive leadership style as a team player.
- Fluency in German and/or English for effective communication.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A willingness to learn and grow in your role.
