About the Internship

Are you passionate about the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), workforce strategy, and organizational development? We invite you to apply for a unique internship that reports to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, working closely with our Data Science & AI experts. This internship can also be tailored to serve as a Master’s thesis or a PhD research project.

Role Overview

As an AI & Workforce Transformation Analyst, you will develop and apply a robust methodology to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence on Accelleron’s global workforce. Your analysis will assess the extent and nature of AI’s influence on various job families, focusing on the likelihood and intensity of transformation, necessary skill changes, and reskilling needs. Your final deliverable will be a strategic workforce transformation plan outlining tailored interventions for each job group to upskill, redeploy, or transform talent.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct desk research on AI-driven job transformation and labor market trends.
  • Analyze Accelleron’s global job landscape, including job descriptions, families, and workforce distribution.
  • Develop a tailored classification model to evaluate AI impact across roles, utilizing established frameworks (e.g., OECD, WEF, MIT-IBM) to assess job exposure and AI complementarity.
  • Define upskilling and workforce transition strategies, along with appropriate timeframes.
  • Validate findings through interviews with subject matter experts, HR Business Partners, and AI specialists.
  • Recommend cluster- or role-specific action plans to future-proof the workforce.
  • Collaborate with other Accelleron teams or workstreams (e.g., AI & Data Science, Strategic Workforce Planning, AI Engagement) to ensure organizational coherence.
  • Ground your work in academic standards and relevant literature, with the option to evolve the internship into a formal research paper.
  • Contribute to additional strategic projects within the Talent Acquisition team.

Your Background

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or early-stage PhD in Data Science, Organizational Psychology, Business, Law, Political Science, or related fields, with special emphasis on labor markets, digital transformation, or technology policy.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities, with confidence in handling complex datasets and abstract models.
  • A deep interest in AI/automation and its implications for work and skills.
  • Self-driven, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Proficient in translating complex insights into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in diverse global teams.

Duration: Minimum 6 months
