Mandatory criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil engineering.
  • 20 years of experience, ideally covering Operators, Consulting, Service, and E & P Company.
  • Very good understanding of all the petroleum industry professionals, ranging from geophysicists to drillers and tank farm managers.
  • Proven experience in Nigeria or Nigerian assets.
  • Fluent written and spoken English obligatory.

Job Description:

The aim of WRFM is to maximize asset value by maximizing production and reserves by finding, maturing, and executing activities at the lowest possible cost per barrel. This position is part of a fully dedicated team at applying the principles and best practices of WRFM: to unlock potential, manage the reservoir, and ensure that reliable wells and facilities deliver the maximum potential, every day.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out and participate in structured periodic reviews to identify opportunities: well, reservoir, and field performance reviews.
  • Contribute to the identification and proposals of activities that add production and reserves: light interventions, rigless workovers, heavy workovers.
  • Contribute to a clear WRFM Strategy and Plan as related to the production technology, completion, and well intervention aspects.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a well book by preparing well diagrams, well history, well models (Nodal models), and future workover/recompletion activities.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of well and reservoir surveillance plans to communicate what data is required and at what frequency to effectively manage key risks and uncertainties.
  • Ensure that the WRFM value loop for continuous improvement is implemented: outline a structured and integrated approach to 1) data gathering, 2) analysis/modelling, 3) review and decision making, and 4) generate remedial work and opportunities to optimize the asset value.
  • Generate optimal well completion, including intelligent completions for workover candidates.
  • Operations support: completions and well interventions.
  • Artificial lift design expertise (gas lift, ESP, jet pump, etc.).
  • Sand control expertise: exclusion type, sizing, and management.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a well and reservoir depletion plan.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an Integrated Production System Model (IPSM): field production optimization.
  • Expert knowledge of Prosper required and familiarity with MBAL, GAP, and WellCAT.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a Collaborative Work Environment (CWE): integration of processes, people communication, visualization of data, and information sharing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Offshore engineering is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with engineering, service providers, and field operators.
  • Fluent written and spoken English obligatory.
  • Autonomous and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to self-prioritize the workload.
  • Excellent team player skills with the ability to work in a small experienced multidisciplinary team.
  • Self-motivated, with a track record of influencing others to achieve tangible outcomes.
  • Willing to physically relocate if necessary.
