Job Opportunity: International/European Welding Engineer (IWT/IWE)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced International/European Welding Engineer (IWT/IWE) with a focus on CL1 and CL2 qualifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of welding processes and quality standards.

Education and Certifications

• Qualification as an IWT or IWE (International/European Welding Engineer) – CL1 and CL2
• Technical training, e.g., as a polymechanic

Professional Experience

• Experience in TIG welding
• Experience in operating welding equipment, including orbital welding machines (open/closed head)

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent understanding of materials science, particularly regarding the weldability of metals and alloys
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings, isometric drawings, and specifications
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., EN ISO, ASME, AWS) and their practical application
• Familiarity with quality requirements and testing methods (e.g., VT, PT, UT, RT)
• Experience in the preparation and qualification of welding procedures (WPS/PQR)
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with welding processes and quality standards

Languages

• Business fluent in German and English
• Additional European languages (e.g., Italian/French) are an asset
