Senior VMware VCF Engineer - Contract Role - Sweden
RED is currently seeking an experienced Senior VMware VCF Engineer to join a large-scale private cloud environment. This role is highly hands-on, focusing on VMware Cloud Foundation, networking, automation, and Kubernetes technologies. The initial contract is for 6 months, with potential extension possibilities, and may require 2-3 days of onsite presence in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, support, and troubleshoot VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Work extensively with vSphere and NSX across enterprise infrastructure.
- Support complex networking environments, including VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and IP networking.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows using VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and Aria Orchestrator (vRO).
- Support Kubernetes and container platforms, including VKS / VMware Tanzu.
- Perform VMware lifecycle activities, including patching, upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Support incident, change, and operational processes within a large enterprise environment.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, networking, and platform teams to continuously improve the private cloud platform.
Key Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Extensive experience with vSphere and NSX.
- Excellent understanding of traditional networking concepts.
- Experience with vRA / vRO / VMware Aria Automation.
- Hands-on exposure to VKS, Tanzu, or Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise VMware environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Swedish citizenship is mandatory.
- Ability to start within a short notice period.
