In this key position, you will ensure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of client KYC refreshes while driving automation initiatives and presenting strategic insights to senior stakeholders. Collaborating closely with Private Wealth Management Sales, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Finance & Global Operations, and crucially, Financial Crime Compliance and Engineering, you will gain invaluable experiences in a fast-paced and stimulating environment.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that collaborates with all parts of the firm to deliver comprehensive banking, sales and trading, and asset management capabilities to clients globally. Our primary focus is on essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and reputation. For every client, ensuring their KYC is accurately refreshed and compliant is paramount. It's Operations that develops the processes and controls necessary to maintain regulatory standards and client trust.

PWM Operations in Zurich directly supports all the PWM clients of GSBZ Bank AG (Switzerland) while working closely with local PWM Business teams in Zurich and Geneva, as well as other PWM teams around the world. As part of our Zurich team, you'll lead a high-performing group and significantly contribute to PWM Operations globally, particularly in the critical area of KYC Rolling Review.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the Rolling Review function.
  • Drive strategic change in KYC and Rolling Review functions with a distinct focus on client experience, encompassing both Swiss and global perspectives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic leader in KYC Rolling Review processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards for clients of the PWM business in Switzerland.
  • Leverage your excellent communication skills to partner effectively with PWM Business, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Financial Crime Compliance, Engineering, and Global Operations, providing optimal client solutions.
  • Drive operational process automation initiatives with Engineering to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability within the Rolling Review function.
  • Apply your expert risk & control mindset by critically reviewing operational processes to mitigate risk, strengthen the control environment, and ensure KYC refreshes are accurate and compliant.
  • Represent your team by presenting strategic insights and operational updates to senior audiences and global stakeholders.
  • Encourage creative thinking – we value your ideas and expect a significant contribution to enhancing the current suite of processes performed by both the Zurich team and PWM Operations globally.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in financial services, specifically within banking operations (with a transactional focus) and KYC functions.
  • Prior experience in a Sales role is strongly preferred, with a proven record of driving client experience strategy.
  • Previous experience in Onboarding and Rolling Review functions is strongly preferred, ideally from both Front and Middle Office roles.
  • Proven leadership experience, including successfully leading and developing teams.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, advanced problem-solving ability, and a robust control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated track record in operational process automation and effective risk management.
  • Aptitude for building strong relationships and extensive experience in communicating complex issues and presenting strategic information to a wide array of internal partners, including senior audiences.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and acts as a change agent to improve processes.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
